Two freelance opportunities

Suffolk County Council, on behalf of Suffolk’s Creative Learning Collaborative, is seeking to commission two freelance contracts as follows:

  •  Arts Administrator, to:

 

-          Establish ongoing, sustainable networks of schools in Suffolk, engaged in, or working towards engagement in the arts through Artsmark and Arts Awards.

 

 -          Develop and deliver a regional conference, advocating the value of arts engagement in schools; for senior education professionals, school governors, head teachers and teachers.

 

  Arts Evaluator, to:

 

-          Establish an evaluation framework for five, individual creative learning projects in schools.

 

-          Review the evaluation of the projects and write a summary report.

 

-          Set up and deliver a sustainable Peer Review Framework for creative practitioners working on the projects.

Opportunity for artists interested in working with older people

Suffolk Artlink is looking for artists to be involved in the Creative Carers project – a creative arts training course for care workers in residential care homes for older people For more information see here Artist’s brief. Deadline for expressions of interest is :11am Thursday 3rd May. Attendance at a training session on Thursday 10th May 1-5pm is essential for those selected.

Art Alive! Is seeking submissions from artists.

The first Assembly House Art Show – Flying Colours: Fascinating Forms – in 2011 was a great success, attracting around 6,000 visitors. Now a second exhibition of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire 2D and 3D art, is being planned for spring 2013. Deadline for submissions is June 30th 2012. Cost £10 – £5 for under 25s.
